  • At Spark Nibs®, we believe that true craftsmanship lies in control over every aspect of production. Our entire process is conducted in-house to guarantee perfection in every nib.

     

    1. Gold blank formation - each nib begins as a precisely cut 18kt gold sheet, shaped with exacting standards.

    2. Tipping & slitting - a hardened tipping material is welded onto the nib. The slit is precisely cut to ensure the tip is balanced and ensures a consistent ink flow.

    3. Shaping & polishing - the nib is carefully shaped to refine its contours, enhancing both its aesthetic and functional properties. It is then carefully ground to provide a smooth, durable writing surface. Finally, it is then polished to provide a final shine to the nib.

    4. Stringent testing & quality control - every nib undergoes multiple stages of testing, ensuring smooth writing performance, optimal ink flow, and long-term durability.

  • Currently, we offer our 6mm gold nib, the industry standard for premium fountain pens. As we expand, additional sizes (5mm and 8mm) will become available.
